Hey, I've got the same card. I've found that Windows controls it BETTER than the D-Link software. Mostly because Windows automatically reconnects after a I wake up from Hibernate. With the D-Link software, I have to manually reconnect.

Anyways, if your "internet connection is very bad", I don't know if the software is the problem. Excellent, sexcellent tip here: Try changing the broadcast channel of your router. Has worked wonders for me. No longer does my microwave disrupt my internet connection. That's gotta be nice!

But, if you still want to change it so the D-Link software controls the card, double click on the (hopefully) green bars icon in your tray. It *should* open up the Windows control titled "Wireless Network Connection Properties". There is probably a way to get here from the Control Panel. Under the "Wireless Networks" tab, the first widget on the panel is a checkbox for "Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings". If you don't want Windows to control it, uncheck that box.

Well, that depends on your router. You should have some sort of router configuration page. For example, I access my routers config by going to http://192.168.1.1/ It depends on how your network is set up. Look in your router's manual.

The channel setting in North America is between 1-11. Most of the time, networks seem to be 6 or 7. I had mine on channel 1, but channel 7 seems to work better for me. It depends on the frequency of your microwave, and maybe cordless (2.4 GHz) phone. I don't know if any math will help. Trial and error.

Oh, and if you have a computer physically connected to the router, you should probably access the router config from that computer. As soon as you change router settings on a computer connecting to the router wirelessly, you will lose the connection.

see I don't get this problem. I don't own a microwave.
In fact I regularly hunt my dinner with a bow and arrow and then cook it over an open fire.
