My site has been up for about 5 months since i swtched from a PHP based site.

site can be found here-> www.gotcanyons.net

My oldest son (25yrs) says it is quite boring and lacks something.

Even though it seems to fit its porpose.

Basically the site is a video viewing. I make my own videos. I also gather videos from other folks. (always with permission).

I am also looking for a scrpit to allow others to directly upload there videos to my site. I now make them a FTP account and they upload thier videos.

the site is not very automated i always have to add the new links by hand.

As was suggestion i added some color to the site. Hope it works better now.

the color scheme is not interesting especially the background.
there is no title.
you may better make it into two column layout.

I would move the logo above the navigation, and just do away witht he iframe for the news at the right.

As far as a script to up;oad files and add the links, you may want to look into a CMS (content management system). I would recommend e107. PHP-Nuke is another CMS that is very popular.

I think the site looks very nice. But you should change the page title from index to your site name. It looks more professional and in theory it will help improve your search engin placement.

ROTFLMAO ROTFLMAO Naw i am done with the color its as good as it gets as far as i am concerned.

Now a sweet uploading program would be nice. I found Xupload but was unable to get it to load vids up. Ahh well back to google
Also is it possiable to skin a embeded media palyer?

Too many colours, too little contrast between them. A serif font that is not a good idea. Some details that need to be tweaked a bit ... Kill the green in the background. it's tiresome ;)

I am gueesing you are refering to the green background in the center panel. what color would be a good contrast agains the blue?? It was silver before i had changed it to green.

ya colors are so horible when i said it needed color i ddint mean like dull colors or bright lol

you really need to start from scratch navigation kills it aswell

well i see my last post was lost in the great "db crash of 2006" :-) .

anyways i was saying that i had toned down the colors a bit.

I know some of ya dont like the menu. It seems to work fine in IE. Not to sure about firefox though.
