Well, its time to look for a new computer and while browsing I found the following:
http://www.morgancomputers.co.uk/shop/detail.asp?ProductID=3107&CategoryID=142&SubCategoryID=221
The good thing about this company is that they have a store not too far from me, so i can purchase it directly from them while also saving money. I am looking for a family computer which is capable of doing most jobs easily aswell as hande light gaming. I have a budget of around £600 and no monitor is required.
I am not really good at these things, so if you have any suggestions of where to look or particular systems to look at please do reply.
Thanks.

Well the only time it will be used for gaming is when the kids feel like playing a game on it, seeing as they have a psp, ds and xbox those occasions will be few and far between.

Ok, well in that case, overall standards of the PC is very nice. I'd go with it

How can you possibly up a 256MB video card?

256MB is very new. I especially approve of ATI.

A 9550 will suck for gaming. It's a $50 budget card, but since gaming isn't a priority, it should be fine.

Deal looks good. But this is something that most people forget:
The "standard" computer these days have more than enough processing power for day to day stuff (by "most jobs" I am thinking you are talking about: 1) family photo editing, 2) email, word processing, excel, powerpoint, browse internet, 3)maybe even some auto CAD)). And by "more" I mean..so much more than it is BEYOND WORDS!
I build customized computer for friends and the odd person then and again and they always get loaded machines (AMD 64 3200+, 1-2 GB of ram, 200 GB HD, etc...) for "Day to day stuff" ; me? I use a 1.6 GHz P4, 1024 MB PC 2100 RAM (originally 512mb), 80 GB internal HD and I added another 80 GB external for less important stuff and as a backup; my video card is an ATi 9600 128 MB AGP.
But in today's market the computer you have chosen is prob. one of the better deals out there (though I could get that for approx. 500 CAD after rebates during specials or something) but I think you can find some "slightly" better ones.
My two cents :)

More RAM != higher performance.

ATi 9550 is a Great Budget card for family use, and for light gaming, I personally have a 9550 (39.95 NewEgg Special!), works great for light 3D gaming like America's Army and GunZ.
Go for that great deal.

Well, I went to take a look at this system and it was very nice. I was quite tempted to purchase it right then but decided to sleep on it. (As you should do on any major purchase)
Anyway, on the way back a good mate of mine called me up and I told him the situation I was in, I told him about the specs of the computer and he told me he could build that system for me in a week, plus he would only charge me £50 for 1-2 parts as he had the rest lying around in his house.
I'm sorted! :P
