It's just a "first draft" of my up and coming new Invertigo fansite :D.

It's very blank at the moment, I know, I just want reviews on the side image (on the left), and the basic text navigation up top.

Thanks! :)

I don't see the point in them wide gaps of white space. It seems ok but nothing special. I also don't like counters. They make a site look unprofessional. I can't give a template a score but I'll give your site a score when its finnished.

It displayed well in my browser, it loaded quickly.

It looked like it would shape up to be rather good. pro-looking even.

Thought: have you considerd useing the ALT tag on your images. this has the effect of makeing the site more accesable to partly sighted people and the site can index better in search stuff.

Keep going you seem to have a good plan going on.

They both look good, I don't know any way to make it better :)

How about using proper CSS so I can view it properly in Moz?

Change
BODY {color: 000000; font-family: "tahoma"; font-size:10px}

FONT {color: 000000; font-family: "tahoma"; font-size:10px}

TABLE {color: 000000; font-family: "tahoma"; font-size:10px}

A:link:{color: FF9900; cursor: default; font-family: "tahoma"; font-size: 10px; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none; }
A:active:{color: 333333; cursor:default; font-family: "tahoma"; font-size:10px; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;}

A:visited: {color:FFCC99; cursor:default; font-family: "tahoma"; font-size: 10px; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: line-through }

A:hover:{color:#336699; background: ; font-family: "tahoma" ; font-size: 10px; text-decoration: "none"; cursor:e-resize; ; font-weight: bold}

to

BODY {color: 000000; font-family: "tahoma"; font-size:10px}

FONT {color: 000000; font-family: "tahoma"; font-size:10px}

TABLE {color: 000000; font-family: "tahoma"; font-size:10px}

A:link {color: FF9900; cursor: default; font-family: "tahoma"; font-size: 10px; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none; }
A:active {color: 333333; cursor:default; font-family: "tahoma"; font-size: 10px; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;}

A:visited {color:FFCC99; cursor:default; font-family: "tahoma"; font-size: 10px; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: line-through }

A:hover {color:#336699; background: ; font-family: "tahoma" ; font-size: 10px; text-decoration: "none"; cursor:e-resize; ; font-weight: bold}

I guess that explains why I couldn't see your other site properly either.

Ther overall layout is nice though.

Cheatpark:
- The white gaps will quite possibly be removed.
- I'm not taking away the counter; I like to keep track of how many visitors I get.

matt_t_hat:

- Thanks! :D I'm glad you liked it ;)
- As for the ALT tags, I might do that. I'm not sure if it's really necessary at the moment, or what I'd write. :confused2

Ormu:

- Thankyou :).

Phrozen:

- Oh, so that's why! Okay, I get it now. So if I adjust it, it'll still work for all the other browsers too, then? Hehe, I'll fix it tonight; thanks for pointing that out :D.

Looks cool. ;)

Phrozen, did you paste the same code in twice? I don't see any difference. :confused:

Anyway, color values in hex should be preceded by #. The font names should not be quoted and not "none" either and this looks a little empty: "background: ; "

Dude it took me like ten minutes to see the difference in the code, but now I get it. yeah I would say the site is different. I don't like how the cursor changes but that is my opinion.
I see absolutly nothing wrong with that counter. It is very nice, actually!

What is it then? I can't read code ín posts. :confused2

Thanks meow ;).

guitarnerd; I'm going to change the cursor anyway probably. I just have a default .css file saved; and I always just link to that; then later go and make changes. So far I've only changed the colours in this .css ;). But I'm probably gonna change it, so yeah! :D

I like the counter too :).

That's right. Don't tell me. :confused2

Meow,

She had an extra colon. (e.g. A:link: {...)

I didn't have time to look through the entire file.

Now I see! I hate those colons and semicolons. My eyes aren't fit for them.

Oops... :o

Sorry! :(

Far too much white...

Hows about adding some "news" or "updates" to the white space in the center?

- Aquatix

(P.s. I like counters, too!)

I would take out the counter (it looks unprofessional), and instead use a service like ytrack.com, webtrendslive.com, or extreme-dm.com. You still know how many visitors you get, but you don't have the ugly counter on your site/

Er... I thought it was obvious there would be news/content there? :confused2

DarkCounter rocks! I happen to like the way it looks...

Anyway, it's a fansite, why does it have to be all 'professional'???
