I have a 200gb hd and a 300gb hd. both ata

Is there a way to make a 400gb C: partition and a 100gb D: partition out of this? how?

Dynamic disks.

What you want is a spanned volume.

Assuming you're using XP, this can be done from the Disk Management Console. Be aware that all data will be lost if one drive fails though.

Not really, I'd guess you could save the 100GB part if its on the good disk.
U backup right?
