Believe it or not, I ran across this one boring day... if you remember [dot]HACK (http://www.dothack.com), then this should stir up some memories.

Looks like a poorly-executed Windows shell replacement (think LiteStep).

I was thinking the same thing. A bad Windows duplicate.

I've never seen litestep tandoc, can you show me some pictures? Also, I guess this could be a replacement... although the earlier versions of the screens for the altmit showed no start menu... and it looked more like ALTMIT.
Also, Multimedia Fusion I believe doesn't just replace stuff in one application, I believe you can make a totally new one out of it, right?

Tandoc: I didn't mean that LiteStep is poorly-executed, just that it's a shell replacement.
Iyeru42: A shell replacement removes all of Windows Explorer and adds its own layer on top of windows. Think KDE on Linux, that's what shell replacement software on Windows does. So ALTMIT could have, in its earlier stages, incorporated less of the default Windows shell (Windows Explorer). Also: http://www.litestep.net/
