Hi,

About two years ago a couple of friends and I started a somewhat popular internet radio show, using one of those $10 stand mics from the bargain bin. I am now looking to restart this project with better equipment. I need a mixer because I want individual people to have their own mic and headphones. I was looking at this mixer at The Source

http://www.thesourcecc.com/estore/Product.aspx?language=en-CA&catalog=Online&category=PA+Systems&product=3211218

But the microphone input I was looking at was about 100 times larger than the usual computer microphone inputs, obviously it was an input for a concert style mic. Should I be looking at another style of mixer, or do I just need a converter to convert my mics to that size? Can anyone reccomend any good mixers and equipment I might need.

Thanks

I just need the mixer first, I might get the mics here

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0002GIRP2/sr=1-1/qid=1145309500/ref=sr_1_1/103-3585755-2832601?%5Fencoding=UTF8&s=musical-instruments&v=glance

It's highly rated by a couple of my friends in the podcasting industry.

Edit: Good thing I didnt listen to you guys, the computer mics are 2.5mm, so that wasn't the right converter.

Just a little update. I bought two MXL 990 condenser mics from www.musiciansfriend.com as well a pop filter and mic stand. Should be arriving soon.

Not particuarly "online radio station" a talk show specifically, but I think any grandma can make a talk show, it's providing crisp audio quality and laugh out loud content that draws you as unique.

I ended up buying the MXL 990 condenser microphone, a pop filter, and the APEX 48V phantom power supply. Here is a picture of one of the mics, the identical twin is coming in the mail along with a mixer.
