Hey guys,

This site is doing very well regarding the search engine optimization activities.

Search : Free Web Hosting in google and the first site you will find is freewebspace.net

What do you think about traffic of this webiste?

Can Peo or other guys show us a screenshot of the traffic?

How much money do you think this site is making?

And the most important thing, how do you think they have reached that top position in Google?

well, I started this thread to talk about these issue. ;)

Well, first of all, it helps other people to promote their websites much better when they see this sucess.
and anyway, it is really interesting for the members.

what do you mean? are you not really interested to know for example for howmany backlinks you can get to the top position of Google for your special keywords? and the how much traffic you can make form the search engine optimization?

We are number one in Google for 'xxxxxxxxx hosting' (no, I won't tell you what 'xxxxx' is), and it helps quite a bit. No SEO, nothing similar. Just provide quality and a few links here and there (we never advertised) - and with time you rise to the top.

Peo or whoever has done some pretty good SEO work on this site. It always pops-up in google results here and there.

well, you can not compare "xxxxxxxxxxx hosting " with "Free Web Hosting".

yeah, if you search "Lincolony" or "Arasp Kazemian" , my website will be the frist one.

But the problem is that nobody will search Arasp or Lincolony in google except myself.

In order to be at the first page of google result for some keywords like "Free Web Hosting" you need to do lots of SEO jobs, and it cannot be done overnight.

It took you more than 6 months or maybe some years to get around 1000 backlink to your site.

search link:www.freewebspace.net to see how many links on the internet is pointing back to this website. I think this is the reason of their success.

All that matter is Peo and other admins done a good Job with this place and they continue to do so now.

The trick to the success? Well some may say hard work :P

That is correct but that is not what I mean. We are #1 for 'CMSname hosting'. Of course that is still not as good as 'Free Web Hosting'.

Generally: I think SEO is overrated. And a lot of people (try to) make money from it with questionable results.

Yeah, I guess the only person who search CMSname hosting in google is yourself. :)

and regarding what you said about the SEO, there a few people who do it perfectly. It is not easy job to do.
And it is not the SEO that bring money. Huge traffic will help you make good money on the Internet and SEO is just one of the ways (The best way) you can use to generate traffic.

Knowing how many backlinks FWS has wont help you become number #1 on whatever search term you need. Its completley irrelevant, there are millions of websites, all trying to get #1 in google for a specific keyword. I don't think it would be safe to assume that as soon as you sad "xxx" number of backlinks you will magically jump into a #1 position.

Every website is different, and thus competition for every website is different. If they gave you this information (I wouldn't, its secret :)) then it would only help you in knowing how many backlinks and how popular your website would have to be to beat FWS.
