Just get your son on Trillian, using his AIM. It keeps logs.

If another AIM client isn't an option, this may work: http://www.chime.tv/products/logim.shtml
I've never used it myself, so I don't know.

Depending on your sons age, he might be able to bypass any prevention.

He's only 11, and just starting, so I know I'm safe for a short time. LOL

for a short time, that's for sure, his friends will surely teach him how to bypass eventually, I know I knew a few things when I was 11, especially when my parents doesn't even know how to operate one until I taught them now :biggrin2: (I'm 15 now)
I know 11 year olds who can seriously code websites, design, it's scary. Bypassing AIM logs are a piece of cake to them.
You're probably trying to see what's he's doing on the internet and who is he talking to, correct? (Parents these days  ) A keylogger would be more simple, it logs every keystroke, so you know what sites he's visiting, his passwords, and other information. With that much information, you can potentially log into his accounts to impersonate him and see how his friends are like TO HIM and not how they appear to parents.
Try to find a keylogger on google. Keyloggers have invisible mode so without him knowing you installed a keylogger onto the computer, he'll never notice. Keyloggers email you even screenshots so if he doesn't type it, you can still spy on what he's viewing.
I won't be surprised when he comes along and sees what you're trying to do to him. lol...
Good luck!

It's very simple. If he bypasses it, then no more computer for him.

The new version of AIM keeps logs on conversations. You can download it at www.aim.com . It is called AIM triton.
