utcrazy May 3rd, 2006, 07:00 Hi,
I recrently purchased a box from RTG, since none of my networks allow IRC. The server seemed perfect, aside from the bad english, netcafe was slightly respectable. I was told the server was going to be ready within 12-24 hours. That was almost 3 days ago. RTG disappeared off AIM and FWS, hasn't retourned any of my emails. The last thing they said to me was, it will be one more hour. A wise person once told me, I would never buy a server off FWS, this was the first server I ever had, and definitely the last. I strongly advise you against RTG and their broken promises. I can only hope this post will draw one of the RTG crew on AIM and email to get my server back.

Tell me what you ordered? Was it via ChargerTek? Or someone else? They're banned from here so they can't come to speak to you... I have no recent server orders however.
utcrazy May 3rd, 2006, 14:35 This was directly through netcafe and RTG, I never said chargertek, or know who they are. I ordered a celeron box.
Craig May 3rd, 2006, 14:38 This was directly through netcafe and RTG, I never said chargertek, or know who they are. I ordered a celeron box.
How did you pay?, am sure NetCafe would refund you per there money back policy if any.
utcrazy May 3rd, 2006, 14:39 Paypal, I don't want a refund, I want this server, obviously if they dont' give it to me soon, I'll file a dispute.
Craig May 3rd, 2006, 14:42 Paypal, I don't want a refund, I want this server, obviously if they dont' give it to me soon, I'll file a dispute.
See if he will refund you first, there isnt any reason for a dispute *yet*, am guessing the box is in savvis (Asia or Texas) from what I seen from his posts on FWS. Normal server setup is 24/72 hours but if he told you 12/24 then you should expect it within that time frame.
hottweelz May 3rd, 2006, 14:46 Ok First:
Calm down.
Second:
Show some respect.
Third:
If you don't know who ChargerTek is... then who are you talking to?
Fourth:
Tell me the paypal address and if they resold one of my Celerons, I'll look for you.
Fifth:
If it is one of mine, then I will set it up for you, ASAP.
Sixth:
Sorry but this is not a good day for this.
utcrazy May 3rd, 2006, 14:58 Seventh: I wasn't talking to you, haha, I'll PM you.
hottweelz May 3rd, 2006, 14:58 LOL You do realize, that if it's one of my servers they ordered... I could solve your problem RIGHT NOW, correct?
utcrazy May 3rd, 2006, 15:01 Just a joke man, easy does it, I sent the PM.
heymrdj May 3rd, 2006, 15:44 I really wonder whats going on.. And I spoke to him on AIM yesterday at like 4PM EST time (Brendon was pulling late shift and I was waking him up :P). Someone should have gotten your server up. I put it an order last night and it was up this morning. Shouldn't be having a 3 day late problem.
hottweelz May 3rd, 2006, 15:51 I push a lot of internal stuff on Brendon for upholding CTek responsbilities, so I'm sure it's rough on him running his own company and dealing with my hot-headed, NY Angered comments about time and money... guy works hard though...
I'm trying to help Utzcrazy out now.
heymrdj May 3rd, 2006, 16:38 Thx alot HW. I loaded Brendon with a few setups yesterday so I have been putting my fair share on him :P. I've been trying to help, but there ain't a whole bunch of workload I can pull off of him :D.
utcrazy May 4th, 2006, 06:39 The infamous hotweelz didn't help me out, instead he got me a refund after waiting four ----in days for these ---- heads. Words cannot describe what I am feeling right now. If you cannot provide a service, don't tell em that you ----in can. This is a public notice to eveyrone. STAY AWAY FROM RTG AND CHARGERTEK. At least howeelz tried his best, but the root of the problem came down to RTG and their staff.
James May 4th, 2006, 07:14 :knockedou It could be worse, you got a refund.
ben-mr May 4th, 2006, 07:49 Hay utcrazey, whats so bad?
He at least got you a refund, would you have rather just got nothing?
Perhaps with the money you could get another server that allows irc?
BEN-MR
Bruce May 4th, 2006, 08:01 Hay utcrazey, whats so bad?
It's a waste of time.
I'd be ticked off too if someone promised something they couldn't deliver and wasted my time while I could've already been looking elsewhere.
heymrdj May 4th, 2006, 12:37 Dc has decided that they will not allow IRC Bots to be run on their server. NetCafe promised to check with Dc and have the server up and running within 24 hours if everything clears with DC but guess it didnt go down well with them.
As such, the funds have been refunded.
We apologise but it was beyond our control.

Wouldnt it of been wise to ask the DC first before any payment was made :confused4.

I agree completely. But for some reason UT and NC worked out on going that route. i don't think RTG should be said to be stayed away from..seeing as UT aggreed to a completely pivotal agreement. But its been sorted out anyways. :biggrin2:
utcrazy May 4th, 2006, 14:09 I think that's complete bull---- and you know it. I asked RTG multiple times if IRC was allowed, and they said yes. RTG should be stayed away from, if you want to get a good server. Bruce is right, it was a huge waste of time. I've learnt my lesson, if it's too good to be true, it probably is.
heymrdj May 4th, 2006, 14:54 I think that is complete bull. So NC thought that IRC was alllowed. I agree he should have made sure, I knew it wasn't allowed. Thats no reson to shy from their servers. At least their servers are quality with 99% guaranteed uptime. One mistake on a representatives part is absolutely no reason to slander an entire company. I think something else has went wrong in your day, and your small issue with RTG only compounded it.
utcrazy May 4th, 2006, 15:00 Nope, RTG was the only thing that did. Hotweelz also told me IRC was allowed. And he works directly with the DC. Brendon also thought IRC was allowed. This is an entire company that dosent know what the hell they are doing.
heymrdj May 4th, 2006, 15:20 Nope, RTG was the only thing that did. Hotweelz also told me IRC was allowed. And he works directly with the DC. Brendon also thought IRC was allowed. This is an entire company that dosent know what the hell they are doing.
Ok then, we apologize for the issue. It was one mistake. You've made some errors with me too, but i didn't draw them out or put up a big Beware (whatever your company was before Delerox).
utcrazy May 4th, 2006, 16:27 I think people deserve to know the truth about this so called company.
X3r0X May 4th, 2006, 16:36 Ok, dude, calm down. You have a right to be angry, that's granted, but they wouldn't be the first company to make a mistake like that. Hell, it was an innocent mistake, at least they weren't trying to cheat you of your money. Unlike yahoo, who is a billion dollar company, trying to cheat their customers of something in PPC I believe.
People/DC's/Whatever all make mistakes. We have to learn to deal with that.
heymrdj May 4th, 2006, 16:39 Thats ok. I know how well the company is run. I also know that their 500+ clients not to mention the people those clients resell to can't be lieing. On behalf of RTG, I ooffer a thank you for trying their services, and sorry that things did not work out. If there is any service you feel we can offer you in the future, please do not hesitate to ask anytime.
LittlBUGer May 31st, 2006, 09:56 I wanted to add to this that I got a server from RTG Asia Group and Chargertek several months ago. They were great to me and my server was perfect for all of that time, except up until around 1 month ago. I decided I needed an upgrade and went with a different system at the DC. Every since then, Brendon (don't know if that's NetCafe or not) barely returns any of my emails and the great Hottweelz has no access to the server at all so he can't do anything either. I mean, my server has had more downtime and problems with it in this past month then I've ever had in the past two years that I've been doing hosting! I mean, if I could at least get a response and actually have stuff fixed, instead of waiting a couple of days for a reply that doesn't help me, it may be different, but it's not and now I'm looking at currently nearly 24 hours straight downtime right now. I can't even do backups or anything so I could at least move the data elsewhere. And the worse part is that I know nothing of their DC so I can't contact them directly. I'm not bashing on Hottweelz as I know he's a good guy and if the server was in his hands, and not Brendon's, everything would be fine, but this is just ridiculous. I've been thinking of changing hosts and if this downtime continues throughout today, I will be forced to, as it pisses me and my clients off and makes me look bad (not counting the fact I'm losing money and possible other clients/members!). Sorry to you RTG Asia Group, but I agree with the starter of this topic. :-\
AvailNetworks May 31st, 2006, 11:03 I think they are all part of the same group or whatever. I have never understood the way their company or group of companies worked. IF someone cannot get your issue fixed then move on. Critical times are when support matters most
Although I agree with your anger and totally understand it, I believe you should fully study the TOS etc before purchasing. Look at the TOS for the DC also. That way you will not run into these issues.
Glad you got your money back.
Judge Fudge May 31st, 2006, 17:43 I have a server with RTGAsia and so far, it has been great. I might even consider getting a windows VPS from them too.
Richard May 31st, 2006, 18:02 All my dealings with RTG-Asia have been good.
X3r0X May 31st, 2006, 22:59 As have all mine, they're a great bunch of people IMO.
brutetal June 1st, 2006, 01:25 Same, I have a server with RTG-ASIA, I have never had a down time but except restarting the server to update settings.
heymrdj June 1st, 2006, 06:48 I've got 6 servers with them and 2 VPS accounts. The VPS's had a little update restart downtime, but other than that, I've been up.
