Starting a server

Hey!

I know all about starting a server becuase i've done it before aswell as shoutcast tv

But i wanted to know becuase i'm getting upgraded to 10mbps connection and it has a upstream of 512kb/s

How good will it be ? like how many visitors could i have before things get slow ect

Upstream is all that matters. 512k = 64 kB/s.

It's going to be slow even with just one or two people.

People / Hosting companys how have 100mb/s whats normal upstream on that ?

100mbit is the upstream. ;)

100mbit = 12,800 kB/s

Man, I wish I had 100mbit connection :p
