I get free things whenever I go to company trade shows. But that's like free little USB things and pens. No one ever gives away free servers. Although my work computer is an old server that we had. The only thing that's old about it is its size.

Still has a Xeon and 4GB RAM. It's basically completely new on the inside.

I remember my dad got a free iPod for being one of the first 500 people to enter this gadget convention in London. He was over the moon, especially because he was just helping someone carry their luggage inside! :)
My uncle works for a IT company and he gets alot of free stuff but it's usually old computers and furniture.

if it is free, it is way outdated. companies dont like to get rid of things unless they are almost completely usles and obsolete.

Yeah, I am a computer technician and get some free stuff from time to time. I got more when I was in sales, I guess every company tries to give you free stuff so you sell more of their product. More than free stuff though, I just get good deals thru purchasing programs companies have, like AMD, Intel, HP, etc.
Anyway, no free servers. Nobody is that crazy!

Except for IBM. They'll do anything. And AMD. We got 4 free Opteron processors because we said we were performing benchmark tests. We did indeed perform the tests, but only used one. We ended up going with Intel :p

0.0, I was just wondering if anybody wants to work with me, as a partner to make a webhosting (I don't have a dedi yet) but, anybody?(that gets free computer stuff?) if you guys can't get computer boxes, thats ok. I would to get as many people as possble who wants to work with me. Even tho we can't get a computer box free, we can do something together to get it or something. Any volunteers who wants too? I would gladly appreciate it. If you guys alreeady havea dedi box, wanna still make one with me? And if you already have a webhosting but still wants to join with me, then plz do!We can still make a company you know : )

Some companies even keep the completely obsolete too, penny pinchers.

If nobody is responding, it means that they aren't interested. This really was a ludacris expectation. You can't make money without spending some. That's just how it works.
