My newest site, www.greatdb.com, consists of articles in a searchable database. It allows users to submit articles for inclusion.

Let me know of any problems you find.

Thanks.

I like the little loading icon. However, when you click the tabs rapidedly, sometimes you don't get the right page.

With all these sites, you should create a little toolbar/header at the top of all of your network's sites.

I don't like the logo on this one, but I don't know why. Probably the colors again. :/

I had a network bar, but I removed it.

The logo is somewhat symbolic: The first part, Blue, represents the friendly-ness of the site. The Second part, Green, represents knowledge.

I never realised that those colours represented that! You should have Black:- The power of the search! Heh :P Yeah right...

Yeah the price of the loading logo is too much when it bcomes an encumbrance.

here is something totally weird. in IE, the text looks one way when the page first opens, and if your mouse is in the toolbar area, but then, when you move over the actual page, the font face will change. :confused4 Maybe it is only in IE7, not sure. Someone else may have to let you know if it is doing that in IE6 too, or i can when i get home. also, some of the text is aligned different in IE compared to FF. so, check your coding, and make sure it will work the same for all browsers. I think the site is a great idea, and very impressed that it was just released, but already has almost 50,000 entries. good job LG.
here is a little trick i learned for marketing though. since you logo is plain and simple with the blue and green, make the font of the text blue and green and bold where ever you mention the site name. view http://www.ezadmintools.com to see what i mean. every time the site name is mentioned, it will be the same colors as the logo. it helps stick in the memory. like a subliminal message type of thing. :D

I noticed that problem in FF, but not IE, but seriously, who is going to click the tabs that wuick? i had to click pretty fast to do what you described.

overall, i think the site is great. the design/layout could use a little work to spruce it up a bit, but the actual site is awsome. :D

BTW, if you would like, I can see if i can get you a new logo for this site too. :D

wikipedia is nice, but this is a good alternative. if everyone didnt make a new site since one like it had already be done, where would we be. if google would have never came alone, yahoo would still be the main search engine. but truth be told, they are both good for certain results. maybe this site will get big enough to provide great info for certain things.

Hmm, well, I would suggest using lighter or paler to represent friendliness. Maybe do the same for the green part so it would match.

By the way, I just browsed your article, and you had a crapload of them. :P Nice job getting the content up/linked. :)

Thanks.

I've added a new article submission page, much better than the plain one.

It's back up. That happens sometimes, because I use up too much of the cpu on my server with all my sites. I'm getting a big chunck of a dedicated in a few days.
