A normal file hosting site can burn 1TB bandwidth a month you know :P You don't have to be Microsoft, ect. to burn that much bandwidth...

That's because it was a 1 day sale or some crap.

Actually,, they have minimized their plans. I remember seeing all the measurements on their website in TB only 3 months ago.

LOL, someone should try and use tons of bandwidth on there server... maybe have a huge downloading site with legal content only, and if they terminate the account.... just sue!

Go ahead but do you really think that you would win the case?

They would just be like every other host who offers that much space/bandwidth, they just put limits on your CPU time.

Yes as someone stated they normal give you loads of space and bandwidth but set the amount of CPU and ram you can use meaning it would be very hard to use anything near the limit you set.

Also normal if you get anywhere near the limit they suspend your account for some tos about resource usuage.

Sue over a plan that costs $6.95, major win there :)The case wouldn't be over the $6.95 - it would be to set a standard to scare other hosts from doing the same, which most large cases are just about.

Anyway, I'm sure if you (the topic starter) read their AUP somewhere you'll probalby find a policy about your usage affecting the other customers.

It's fairly common to marked these huge offers but if you even try to use 1 / 100 of what you've been offered you'll find your account disabeled for breaking the AUP - your usage interrupting the other clients.

And where does Microsoft host his sites? If a normal file site uses 1TB , how much will they use?

I have no doubt that large enterprises such as Microsoft and Google would have multiple large servers taking care of things. They probably have their very own DC.
