do not like the 30 days. It makes it impossible to have a database of file links.

Dacksal, It's a month. If you want to store data, you should go and buy a hard drive and then move it there. It's much safer then using a free service, and having to upload GB's of data.
30 days is after the last person has downloaded it, so you could download it every month and it would not be deleted.
It's not 30 day old files = deleted.
