Anime in Mp4 Format

I keep hearing that this is completely legal as long as the anime files are in the Mpeg-4 format. Im curious, and who is better to ask than a bunch a web space gurus :P

So guys what do you think on it?

Weird how can something be made legal by just changing the means of how its transported or handed off?

i don't think so it is true. Make no sense, it is like if i convert mp3 file to mp2 it is legal. I don't think so.

I wouldn't believe it until it stood up in court.

I just take it that as long as the show is not licensed in the States, I will host it.
