I know their is a discussion similar to vbulletin that is free. Although I can't remember the name of it and I was wondering if anyone knew the name. Thanks.

Not really. It is just like vbulletin but free instead of costing money. I think it began with a K.

Though I wouldn't really compare it to vBulletin. It's only similar in that it has AJAX support.
There's only one guy developing it, and it needs a lot of work.

The betas have been available for over a year now... that's what I based my opinion on.

I haven't see anything that can compare to vBull 3.x (administratively-speaking, anyhow).

I am not to thrilled over SMF as I am some of the others. I have a few I am going to try and go with the right one. Thanks for the info though. I am always interested in new ideas.

You could also try phpBB 3 BETA, it is insane and the admin panel doesn't look the same, but still has a TON of features!

I just try the k4bb, somehow it has quite much bug. Hope that script will get more people to develop it.
I am looking forward for phpBB 3 stable version :)
