You did not mention that a user could not have warez, you just said

i registered there last week and got an email saying every midnight you do a lottery to see if your account gets created or something?
how long does it typically take?

The lottery is random; a certain number of accounts are chosen and made at midnight. If you don't receive an email with your account info saying that your account was created, then you'll have to resubmit your information into the lottery until you win.
If you want to skip the process and use a bypass code to guarantee your account creation, you can click the link in my sig regarding the signup process.
No warez is allowed; thats a given for all reputable hosts.
