but lately it went down due to some untoward circumstances!


I require:
500+ mb of webspace (1 gb preferrable)
30 gb of bandwidth

ogg songs & music videos of junior artists & other free to distribute remixes do not come with any copyright licences.

i make the ringtones, dont download it from somewhere & distribute..

btw, everythings is free to ppl, am not charging them so tat i have to have i licence for distributing stuffs lik big shot companies!

netfront 3.3 (for series 60) with java 'on' in settings helps show google ads...

in fact, i have a shoutbox running on the site tat works on java..

so ppl have to keep java on to enjoy my site to fullest!

google ads too are java based & do show up..

i use php as my web pages... tats y asked for a php supported server!

i dont mind hosts even givin me google search bar..

but for google ads, they are visible... 100%

s60 fones arent dumb bro.. not tat much... wml is history.. php too loads up nicely on fone!

I have a 6680 and had a 6600 since they came out before it, so am aware of what they are capable of, only, am also painfully awae that when I use it to go online, the last thing I wanna do is click on adverts as it costs a bomb to browse....

Have you thought about making a proper html site, and then making an xhtml section for phones?

XHTML is not used at all....

these ads have a different frame... on clickin these frames ads can be scrolled, clicked upon..

now there are many ppl who dont own a pc.. if they r interested by some related ad... wont they click it?

u are still underestimating your smartphone... i use my fone to edit web pages (html/php)

i upload these pages using mobile ftp client...

mobiles can load upto 1-2 mb sized pages too..

It all depends on how a user uses his smartphone. Mobile browsing broke free off wap/xhtml in early 2004... Mobile browsers can handle pure html/frame/javascript very good & site for mobile doesnt mean all visitors use mobile, actually 50% visitors use pc... Its handle java,php,wml etc.
I make my site with my mobile last 1 year n i hv no pc.
Upload/download/script editing all things done by only n only mobile.

yeah, that's all very true, html can be used, and so can any other language, that doesn't mean you're doing anyone any favours though, that's not what these phones are designed for, and big heavy html pages take up a load of bandwidth, and that'll stop ppl from loading your sites in the first place, as mobile bandwidth is pretty expensive these days.

You seem a little confused as to what xhtml is, it's not just for phones, a lot of sites are valid xhtml.....

the site can be browsed purely 100% thro any browser on earth... be it on mobile or pc..

visitors to my site in past have never come up with ne browsing problem complaints..

@krak... xhtml compliant? Obviously yes... Since am makin site for mobile, obviously i write abiding by the xhtml standards... But why does it bother u exactly? Yr worried if yr adds will load or not... Isnt? ....lol

No it's not that.

When I go looking for something for my phone, I will at first, look on my pc, and then if I have to download via my phone, if I haven't got access to bluetooth, or a mmc reader, or whatever, I'll go to the site on my handset....so on the occasions that I do look for software on my actual handset, there is no chance at all I'm gonna waste my money clickin on adverts, bandwidth on mobiles isn't cheap, not cheap at all.

So even if the adds loaded, I wouldn't be too pleased with that.....what I'm gettin @ is, if you had a website, you know like a proper one, like this, and you were willing to have adverts on that, you wouldn't have to have adverts on the ota pages.... think about it anyway...I know it's a load of work, but in the end, you'd prolly be more popular for it.....even on occasions when I can b bothered to setup gnubox, I still find it sooo much easier to browse on the pc ...... also, all this would make your ota pages load quicker with more of YOUR content, which is what you want on such pages, not dirty great banners, that's like an extra 4clicks on the joystick thingy...
