What caterogory does Remote Access Come under?

Hi, i need a PC where i can get remote acess and download/use my private software. What would this come under?

And is it similar to Dedicated Server's?

I dont have a clue.

Right click ''My Computer'' >> Click ''Properties'' >> Click ''Remote'' (Am using WinXP Pro).

If you mean remote desktop, then probably a Windows Server is what your looking for.
