Hello this will be a informative topic for hosts that are looking for a good billing software to fit their needs.

We shall start off with the most popular billing software. Modern Bill

[Ups]

Modern Bill supports multiple control panels which makes it a good solution for large companys.
It has a built in support area.

[Downs]

Hard for newer users to setup.
Price is too high for most starting companys

[Ups]

Complete Solution (has support area that has tickets, downloads, live support)
Very easy to use and setup
Affordable Price

[Downs]

Lacks many features such as ip banning and resticting the same ips from getting free accouints.
You have to own a license for a seperate support software in order to intergrate live support
Only supports cPanel

[Ups]

Easy to setup and simple interface
Better for small companies
Easily templated
Great support and always updating

[Downs]

Lacks features (addon pricing, customization)
Doesn't integrate well
Weak ticketing system

[Ups]

# Full tax support - supports VAT
# Coupons / promo codes

[Downs]

only 3 templates to choose from, no other options unless you buy them from a member of their forum, you can create your own (my site for example) but it becomes an extravogant process.

I will be adding more soon.

If you would like to help me compile this list please pm me i need people that are experienced with other good software that i did not list yet.

Thanks,
Chris.S

hey craig,

i looked over the new feature and from what i see you still need a seperate license for the star dev live chat and it only says they added the backend needed to add support for DA, Plesk nothing saying that they have added but that the code is there for future development. If i am wrong please let me know.

It's perfectly fine for me but I spend many hours behind a monitor, so I have adapted to it!

Also, you cannot hold WHMCS against a licensing issue, the live chat is a separate piece of software, so requires it's own license.

pm me the ups and downs of awbs and i will post them.

That would not remain legit anyways, reviews are supposed to be "First Hand Only" . Stealing words from others wont be considered a legit review. And thats is the reason why users who want to buy new billing software just ask on various forums so users who have "used them" can post their cons/pros.

But since you do not have time to do trials as avail said, you shouldnt be posting any reviews regarding the item not used by yourself, think about it this way, would you comment/recommend of post pros/cons on a bra (company) which you do not use but the lady sitting next to you sitting in a bus says ooh my bra is cools and bla bla ?

You get the picture. :welcome:

Later.

He is just trying to make a list of pros and cons, it's not the same as a review. It's more about stating facts.

Ok yellow think about it this way, i go about posting on other forums about pros and cons of your company (not reviews like yellow is such and such their datacenter is bad and so on) just cause someone told me something about it, would you appreciate it at all if there are more pros than cons ?

And remember someone said : " Seeing is Believing" .

Its about been practical

their datacenter is bad
That was supposed to be a secret! :eek2:

Fair enough, I understand where you are coming from. I guess people should use the demos provided by the developers aswell as reviews by people in the same situations before making any decisions.

I hate you!

Ok i will keep the datacenter part secret np  .

Thats why there are demos out there Chris, and if user buying it doesnt have time to demo or take trial its the users fault, and no review would justify that.

And thanks you understood and didnt get offended as most people do here, when i post something practical. :bunny:

I hate you Too !!!
Cheers

but you have time to gather reviews and hang around the forum all day? have a go at a few installs. what is the worst that can happen? you learn how to use and install several products and have first hand experience with them in case a user of yours has a small issue....sounds like a travesty

It would take a long time to get a accurate list of pros and cons.

And if the ups and downs that i post are incorrect then someone can correct them as i want them to be as accurate/ Up to date as possible.

Same thing goes for all things: if you don't have the time or don't want to put in the time required then don't try to do it. Doing a half --- job of anything is no good to anyone. Please excuse the language.

Good luck your basically doing the same thing, telling/talking about ups and downs of a bra which you dont use.

*bra is used as an example only as i couldnt find other better example cause he might have used all other stuff say AMD pc etc . etc.
