I am starting the redesign on my site http://www.guitarnerd.com but I am getting rid of the frame, and most of the flash. Kepping the same colors. What are some ideas and reccomendations before I get started. ANY suggestions would be of great help!

hi.
looks like you've made an effort to get some content on your site. good move.
Ok, straight to the point.. you said you are keeping your colors. Well, to be honest, the blue of the menu doesnt really go with the blue on the main page. You should probably go with one or the other.. or find a nice soft and dark blue to that does match.
You said you are getting rid of the flash, etc. I would suggest a nice still of your favorite guitar, or something along those lines. Or a logo with a guitar incorporated in some way.
Also, since you are taking out frames, you have a choice to popup the page when a link is clicked... or make the page go to the url. Include links to pages on each seperate page is a nice touch on non frames sites.
I hope this helps you out. :)

Yeah, the site will definatly be more proffesional with the redesign. I am definatly going to have a navigation on all of the pages. I know some of the flash will be there, but I think the home page is kind of overkill. I will post links as I go along...just to see if it looks ok, but I think I will have to make a thread in the review my site forum for that.

Frames are incompatible, harder to work with, it takes three files to make one page. and all the links have to be targeted correctly. not to mention they don't work well in search engines.
