Even I need to know, so that my resellers can create one for themselves. (Need to add them in the KB.)
Anyone?

Some registrars provide nameserver registration and some don't.
I know for a fact that namecheap provides free nameserver registration.

Best look it up in google - it involves the root reseller enabling it in WHM and understanding how to use NS DNS entries in the zone files.
Basically using the host NS entries use the IP 'if it's enabled' and set an NS entry in the DNS zone for each of the host NS (IP) entries using your own ns1.mydomain.com. NOTE the period (.) at the end, that's not a fullstop but a period to end the NS entry so it would read 'ns1.mydomain.com.'
Quick and dirty and hopefully I haven't made any real stupid mistakes - someone will say if I did :D

Think it's for server based enties not the ones at the registrar, and if you can't enter a nameserver for your domain your in trouble.... It'll go nowhere.

I setup a server the other day and done this, what you'll want to do is login to WHM as root and go to "Server Configuration" and click on "Tweak Settings" then tick the box that has "Allow Sharing Nameserver Ips" under "System".
Now go to the reseller center underneath "Resellers" at the left, choose the reseller that you want to enable Private NameServers on and click "Edit Privileges/Nameservers" now go all the way to the bottom and you'll see "Primary Nameserver:" etc... that's where you'll want to add your nameservers to :) Put NS1.THEIRDOMAIN.COM and in the box below NS2.THEIRDOMAIN.COM...
That's all there is to it and if you need any more help feel free to PM me and if I'm around I'll give you a hand.

Thanks, [JSH]John. But is there any other way a reseller can do it? Without SSH access nor root access.

You could just set the IPs to those of your providers and then ask them to edit your DNS zones to match.

If the reseller has DNS enabled on their WHM then they can edit 'their' zone as said above.
It's up to root/master domain who gets what, then they can help themselves as long as you allow shared nameserver IP's
godaddy.com and enom.com allows you to do this too.
