Dual Dempsey or Opteron

Hiya...

What i require is Dual Core Dual processing power with 4GB Memory and about 3000Gb of traffic and 2 IP's

Most of the rest is negotiable... If you reply please include a test file.

Failing that I would consider a Highend Dual Xeon with 8GB memory.

Need the server to run proxy network so i am open to suggestions

I am ready to buy so speed of setup is a requirement.

I would suggest the new Xeon woodcrest dual core/dual cpu if you are looking for massive processing power if it is available.

Dempsey is getting a bit dated these days and if I were comparing dempsey vs dual core/dual cpu opteron I would most certainly get the opteron

Yea a woodcrest would be cool too but didnt want to ask for them cuz i thought they would be very expensive as with all new technology.

they really are not too bad price wise, about $50 more than a dempsey but quite a bit more power overall and a good step for technology. We do have an unadvertised configuration that you may be interested in.
