I need something that you would think would be really simple, but maybe not sinse I don't know php?

I need a flat file (text database) php script that will just basically be a one page website that will allow admin to login with set username/password in config.php and be able to edit the page's content with a WYSIWYG editor. No preference as to what WYSIWYG editor it will use, but it will need to have a remote image buton for inserting remotely hosted images, and a toggle button to switch between text mode and html mode.

I don't want a mysql database because I will be using this script to allow all of my site members to create a fan pages for a TV shows, and I would quickly run out of mysql databases. The page must be html so that I can edit the page's template easily. The only place I need the WYSIWYG editor is in the middle content area of the page. It would be cool to have an "Edit" button on the bottom of the page for members to login and edit their page.

Please PM me your bids.

I can do this very easily... But the only problem is.. Where do I get a WYSIWYG editor? You'd have to provide me with one.

Anyway, cPanel already comes with a WYSIWYG editor... So you might want to use that to edit the middle content area

I could do this but I'm a wee bit busy right now: heres some advice.
GOOD coders can create everything in 1 database:)
In that ONE database you have a table: this table might read something like this
usersid ¦ pagename ¦ pagecontent ¦
62 ¦ ilikeu2 ¦ some page ¦
_______¦__________¦content here ¦

so you only need a table for pages, a table for users.
you get the idea.

flatfile creates huge pressure on the server.

cpanel has a WYSIWYG editor? ...I never seen one in my cpanel.

Here are some good free WYSIWYG editors:
http://tinymce.moxiecode.com

http://www.fckeditor.net

I really like this one, has alot of tools:

If something could be done like this to offer mutiple members a copy of the script with unique login info and only using one database ..that would be ok to use mysql then.

If you click a html file in cPanel, click "Edit HTML" and it will show WYSIWYG editor.

Thats just the coding, WYSIWYG is just like MS FrontPage and you just choose how it looks

Holy Wow!!! ...it does!
I never knew this ... thanks

It's a pretty darn nice one too. I wonder if/how you can let other people use it to edit your web pages, besides being logged in as admin in cpanel? Is it possible without giving them your cpanel login?
it would be cool if you could use it in sub directories and password protect the directories. Let me know.

possibly, I never tried, and don't have root access to a machine atm, I don't see why not though.......I know cpanel binaries won't run unless you're using cpanel or whm itself, but it's an open source script....someone try it, post results .....

even so, you should be able to store the files needed somewhere else in the system, somewhere like /usr/local/lib by default should be accessible to everyone, aswell as /tmp although that's a worse idea by far......
