Say you create a new account in WHM with a www.yourdomain.com domain.
Then when the dns resolves you login to your new domain account at www.yourdomain.com/cpanel
You then go to fantastico and install a cms like xoops and install a bunch of custome modules and then relalize that you would like to use this xoops installation for another one of your domains that you own rather than the domain that you created the account under.
Can you change domains on an account without loosing what you installed on the current domain? ...thanks :-)

Yes, you can install the Fantasico Scripts on other Addons Domains. It asks which Domain during installation

Yes, you can. But it might take a while of re-configuration especially if you've installed stuff in fantastico. Unless fantastico automaticly changes it. Fantastico records your domain and uses it as an url to uninstall a script (I THINK).
But I sugguest, if you want to change domains - Park the domain onto your cPanel account, which is better and less hastle. You'll still be able to access your cPanel with the same URL of your NEW domain too.
EDIT: Sorry, I mis-read your post. I thought you wanted to CHANGE domains, not ADD domains.
BTW please reply to my pm :)

Yes you can change the domain without loosing anything BUT you must change the domain etc within your scripts admin panel / config.php as they'll be set to use your old domain.

If you have a VPS and you have fantastico enabled it should let you install a set of scripts for every new account that you create. I have this working on my VPS but I cant recall much of it so unless you still need it, I won't check. If you do, fire a PM and I'll check it.

Sounds a bit scary. I don't want to loose my installation of xoops on the current domain because I uploaded a bunch of plugin modules to it. It'a alot of work when you are on dial-up and have to ftp them all. So it's not like I want to loose it.
So I would just have to alter xoop's man config.php to reflect the new domain then?

Ok, so how do I do this exactly in WHM?
There doesn't seem to be an option for changing domains on an account?
Anybody?

You cant do it in WHM, you have to do it manually

I know I have to manually edit the xoops' config file to reflect the changes, I am just trying to figure out how to change the domain name on an account in WHM. There does not seems to be an option to do this ... strange

modify account, just change the domain name in there it'll create dns records for you ( you may not have access to the modify account function if you're not root )
