Check it out. http://www.guardian.co.uk/drugs/Story/0,2763,667748,00.html

I personally like this part:

"But the council does seem to suggest that using cannabis might actually be as good as going to the gym as it produces an increased heart rate: "The cardiovascular actions of cannabis are similar to the effects of exercise, and probably do not constitute a significant risk in health to adolescents and young adults.""

Yea but when little kids get high, they tend to hurt themselves.

Your quote for the virtues of marijuana seems far outnumbered by the other comments made in the article.
The report concludes that one of the main long-term health risks from cannabis comes from smoking it; in fact, it may be more dangerous than smoking cigarettes because it has a higher concentration of carcinogens.

...

Occasional use of cannabis is only rarely associated with significant problems ... the main worry being impaired control of your movements. It can also disrupt the control of blood pressure and increase the risk of fainting.

...

occasional use can pose significant dangers for those with heart and circulation disorders and for those with schizophrenia.

...

Regular heavy use of cannabis can result in dependence

...

Cannabis impairs mental functions such as attention, memory and performance and so can be dangerous for drivers and those who operate heavy machinery

...

The birth weight of children whose pregnant mothers smoked joints might be lower than expected due to carbon monoxide in the smoke. They also run a small risk of minor birth defects.

...

...the jury is still out on whether chronic use can lead to mental illness. The article wasn't about "cannabis [being] found not so harful [sic]" so much as it was about how it shouldn't be grouped along side hard drugs.

Its obvious that marijuana isnt good for you.

How could inhaling smoke be good for you? I know enough chronics to know that it does have long term negative side effects, which, to some extent, are reversible.

Anyway.

It's like saying that those crappy things you strap onto your muscles that massage them to make your muscles look bigger, is a good replacement to doing any physical exercise.

Anyway.

People can try and point out good things about marijuana, but two facts will always remain to me

1 - marijuana smokers are ----ing annoying; both when smoking it, under the influence of it, and when talking about how cool it is

2 - its incredibly lame how some people seem to base almost their entire existence around some plant
