I have a vps and i have a problem.
When i go to cpanel or whm i see:
Space used: 1mb
Space limite: unlimited
and i have the package to have 200 mgs limit!
I try running /scripts/fixquotas and updating whm and still dont work!
i see:
Quotas are now on
Resetting quota for askandha to 100 M
No filesystems with quota detected.
No filesystems with quota detected.
I have contacted my vps provider but never have a reply.
can anyone help me on this issue?
Thanks

Then email again your vps provider.

1: check your /etc/mtab and fstab, partitions see if they are actually setup correctly.
2: Reboot your VPS and run fixquotas again. (Look at the script running and note any errors)
3: Tick, Select in WHM, Tweak Settings -> Disable Disk Quota display caching (WHM will cache disk usage which may result in the display of disk quotas being up to 15 minutes behind the actual disk usage. Disabling this may result in a large performace degradation.)
If it's none of these, the quotas need to be fixed firstly for the VPS and then for the accounts in the WHM. As the initial changes need to be made at the VPS, you can't do it on your own even if you have the root. I would hope it wouldn't come to this, sounds like your VPS provider is *blank*.

So for how long have you been waiting for your host to reply?
Personally I'd move out if nobody would reply after max 24h :)

i im waiting more that 2 weeks!!! lol
I have my vps with ez portal, in the start i have a good support (less that 1 hour) , but because some problems because now the member in this forum is serverorigin, i try contacting live help in serverorigin but we tell me that cant give me support because i have purchased the vps with ez portal, i contact ex portal. I have maked a request to purchase more ram and i have this reply:
"have just taken over support, and have sent your query to the VPS people" in 18/10/2006 and im waiting a reply!! I dont like to move because the issues and downtime and because the good support that exportal give me when i need, but know i think that its serverorigin the admins of this.
Its a big problem and i dont know what i can do!!!

If none of the suggestions worked it's your VPS provider's job to fix it up from their server.
You can only wait really, good luck in getting a good response..

i im waiting more that 2 weeks!!! lol
And you'r still with them?
I wouldnt trust any host who takes this long. If it's 2 weeks for a simple information request, imagine what it would be if the server has a major problem, ohhh the downtme you'd have :) heh
whats so hard about moving?
You'r using cpanel.
Dump everything in one file and just reimport it back at the new host.
Hardly hard. Keep your nameservers pointed to the current host until restore everything at the new one, and swap. No downtime :)
That's what I would you,
You may perhaps prefer to wait another few weeks.

If you stay, it will only get worse. It's quite easy to migrate VPS, just find a new provider and ask for help here if you need any.

Plus, some will even offer you free migration service.
They'll transfer your stuff from your old provider to your new one.
Of the top of my head, I remember DEHE.com had such service
shop around :)
