I have created an addon for IPB 2.0 & IPB 2.1.* that allows you to integrate your cpanel users into ipb.

Features :

Automate account creation with WHM using secure methods
Automate post count checking, and act accordingly
Pretty signup process for users :)
Random passwords generated and sent by mail
Easy installation a monkey could carry out
Easy administration interface to add packages etc
Immunise users of IPB from the process
Recieve all in one notification emails of suspensions and unsuspensions
Edit a welcome email users will recieve thier account information in this

Requires:

cURL
PHP V4 =>
cPanel / WHM Reseller Account (duh)
IPB 2.*.* (Tested 2.1.6 & 2.1.7 & 2.0.0 trial & Invision Power Board 2.2.0 RC 3)

This is up for sale for $20 a go, please contact me via email to get a copy, you can see it working @ http://www.ipb.krakjoe.info/ you will need to signup on that forum to test the signup process, I'm working on an admin preview without hindering security.

This is using a passthrough auth method in IPB to cPanel accounting right? And you made your own login php file right?

krakjoe

IT doesn't use any of IPB's methods, it uses its conf_global and gets data for itself.

cURL is a php extension, most people have it installed.

Me, I'm innocent :P

It's v2.0.0 trial now, was just testing the stuff out on later versions, if any one has 1.3 they could send me, or a reseller and v2.2 I'd be greatful.

So great that you'd buy it, if you're asking me to do it there's a lot more chance it'll get done .....

I'd love to buy this for my forum. Becuase we normally create accounts manually, and it does get a pain in the arse. I have a spare IPB license, so when IPB 2.2 comes out (which I believe is in beta stage) I'll let you use it, so you can upgrade your script (of course I couldn't give you the license) I'll contact you via your email tomorrow night. Interesting script, I shall purchase! :)

I have purchased the script, now to get my status verified at krakjoe.info. I paid via debit card, so I'm not sure how long it will take paypal to process the payment, or even if it is immediate.
I'll PM you about that IPB 2.2, if you still need it?

krakjoe

krakjoe
November 22nd, 2006, 06:02

Richard

3.5.3 I think, hopefully 3.6 aswell.....

I would need it to work on vbulletin 3.6.3. I can supply a test system if you wish (We have a full version of vBulletin not in use at the moment), and each system can have 2 installs as long as the second one is in a /vbtest directory password protected.

WOW, ppl are so nice, JJ has supplied me with a version / liscence for vbulletin, I'm yet to find out the exact version, but if it's not the 3.6.3 then I'll be sure to take you up on that offer also :)

Thanks a lot ppl, you're makin it so much easier

No need mate, me and krak already had some thing going. And I've uploaded a test vBulletin to his server. And the version of it is vBulletin v3.6.4 - which is latest they have created so far, but I'm sure if he makes some thing that works for that vBulletin version then it will work for versions below that in the v3.6.x series as the coding is almost and if not the same.

No problem Krak_Joe! :)

Hey,

Hows the vBulletin version coming? I really do want your version, but if you can't have it ready by the 29th, i'm going to have to shell out for vHosting :(

krakjoe

I have contacted you about this, the next version is far from finished, however I may still be able to help you, I have written integration for vB, just not used it yet .... get in touch.....
