please help me with small computer problems

ok i have several small problems i am hoping i can get some help with

1. when i try and save pictures with IE it always wants to save them as untitled.bmp, how can i fix this so it saves them as the ususal extentions?

2. to connect to the net i now have to go to settings and network/dail up to connect, it won't just come up when i open IE.

3. i just got a mic and i notice i am getting horrible feedback when talking to my friends over AIM, it sounds like the ocean or like i am in a submarine or something.

any help guys? please! much thanks

1. I get that on some sites. Have read numerous explanations. "Empty your cache. Delete index.dat...blah blah blah". None of this work for me.
Type the direct URL to the image in the address field or drag the image there and save from there - does it for me.

The first problem may be solved by going to Tools/internet options/delete files. Then restart your computer. That might even fix the second problem also :)

awesome, thanks i got the 2 first problems solved, clearing out the temp files did indeed work, i guess i gotta do that from time to time. so no one has any ideas of why my mic seems to be creating some major feedback? also how do you play winamp directly into your mic? thanks again.

hey how do you solve the 2nd problem? When I was using XP, doesn't seem to pop up when I start IE.


to your mic problem, maybe there is a connection problem or the mic isn't good, well, or maybe AIM sucks for that, or maybe your friend is living near Pacific Ocean :D
