I GOT A VIRUS whooo

My first virus ever! I got it in my email:

Subject : Snowhite and the Seven Dwarfs - The REAL story!

Attachment : joke.exe (30k)


Today, Snowhite was turning 18. The 7 Dwarfs always where very educated and
polite with Snowhite. When they go out work at mornign, they promissed a
*huge* surprise. Snowhite was anxious. Suddlently, the door open, and the Seven
Dwarfs enter...

and joke.exe tested positive as a "W32/Hybris.gen@MM"
virus.

Damn i wanted to know how the joke ended :(
p.s. i didnt open it, i just look at it every now and then in my junk folder

Yes, its still spreading after almost 2 years!

I always get it in my ISP e-mail account :o

I hardly ever get viruses. My host seems to know how to filter spam and stuff which is annoying.

13 in 2 years and only one was not detected in time, it crashed my computer on startup, windows wouldn't re-install so i had to re-format. Luckily i had back-up's

Yeah, I would also find it annoying if my ISP took it upon himself to filter my mail. :biggrin2:

I have had about 5 viruses on my computer before when I wasn't updating my Nortan Antivirus Software. They wouldn't allow me to print from Microsoft Word, Notpade, and Wordpad.

They also slowed down my computer quite a bit.

I got rid of them once I updated the antivuris signatures.
