Via Raid

I have an old board with VIA RAID. I have 1 SATA drive running.

if I want to add another drive and make it RAID1, can I do that without reinstalling? The documentation is very vague and only tells you how to Install from scratch.:tired2:

when I finally upgrade, will I be able to turn the RAIDdisk back into a normal one so I can just swap out the motherboard?

you have to install from scratch. Generally once a drive is branded as raid you cannot turn it back without a reformat
