Any reason for it to not detect my hard drive? Cent 3 works fine. But Cent 4 just will not install. I'm trying to emulate my production environment as closely as possible, so 4 would be best. Of course, I have cPanel on my production server as well. So I guess I can make another sacrifice.

By virtual machine you mean VPS/VDS? If so, I've runed CentOS 4.x on one with no HD issues. Have you checked mounted partitions and all?

By virtual machine I mean a local machine. I'm using VMware Workstation 5, and CentOS 4 just doesn't detect any hard drives.

VMWare is slow as hell. I've used RHEL4 before, and it works. You might want to check compatibility with the PIIX4 SB, as that's what VMWare emulates. Or use RHEL. CentOS IS a rebrand of it after all.

Well, I'll just use Cent 3. It works just as well.
