I do......
1: No post. Am waiting for some new dedis but they wont arrive until the 28th now :o. BTW, Royal Mail sucks, use DHL.
2: Everything is overpriced.
3: Never any snow (UK) which doesn't make it feel like christmas (Blame Bush & China :p).
4: Tooooo much traffic on the roads, went to M&S yesterday to do some xmas shopping, took me well over 2 hours (normally would take me 20 mins).
5: Same crap on TV. *OMG* HOW MANY TIMES MUST WE SEE JASON & THE ARGONAUTS.
6: Santa is now dead, that means I will have to do the chimney job again.
I could go on but
Am sorry for being such a scrooge but its like my wife's roast beef, TUFF!!.
The only good thing about christmas is watching the kids open the gifts .

I like Christmas, I just don't like how everybody freaks out and goes overboard with the buying of gifts & spending of money. That's not what Christmas is about for me.

You should've named this "Scrooges come here" as Ebinizer Scrooge in A christmas carol hated christmas :P.

I hate it with a passion.
It's a farse and a complete commercial event.
I just look at it as another day. Only more boring than the rest.

In so many ways I agree,
Christmas anymore is becoming such an commercial event, not to sound all religous and stuff, but come on I think its lost track of what christmas should mean.
Today I was told off by an old lady when I was shopping, not to mention waiting in the express lane for 2hrs, what kind of express lane is an 2hr wait?..
But you know yea christmas anymore seems to be such an waiste of time, Im not even excited anymore for it, its just another day to sit around open presents, the only nice bit is being with the family you care/should care so much about.
This year for chirstmas iv actually just donated all my money I would spend on the larger presents, were doing stockings but thats it.
On the other hand for you younger rug rats I guess its nice to have christmas, gives you something to look forward to, something to have some positive energy towards, better then all these little kids becoming overwieght, and sitting around doing nothing becuase they have no positive things to look forward to.
Anyways, I guess im borderlining this poll. :)
well merry chirstmas anyways peoples

Well then next year ask for money and give it away.
You can't have both sides...if you think Christmas is becoming Commercialized you should reject any presents you get and spend the day at church or huddled up in your closet until Christmas passes :P
I don't really like or dislike Christmas. I haven't really felt "festive" this year at all. Christmas does usually come up quick after about 10, but with College all it seems like yesterday was August and I was on the beach.

I don't really hate Christmas, just Christmas Eve. That's when my mother goes absolutely berserk w/ her Christmas carols. Urgh.

Who gives a ---- if it's become commercialized?
Christmas is a time of giving, a time to be happy & to see family.
If you're hating christmas just because it takes longer to get to Marks & Spencers (may I add, WHY?!) then you really are a miserable person.

1. I disagree. Royal Mail > DHL
2. Not any more than the rest of the year, chump
3. Er, we got snowed in last year.
4. Take a bus? Much quicker & cheaper, and then you'll be helping to reverse 3.
5. DON'T WATCH IT THEN! There are plenty of good films on TV (eg last night speed), if you don't like them nobody's asking you to watch them.
6. Oh well.

This is one of my reasons, taking 1hr, 40 minutes extra, everyone is crazy, was passing tesco's on the 22nd & the parking queue was on the motorway, crazy.

1. emmmm, OK, you must work for them then :p.
2. Trust me, most things go up by 5% +.
3. You call 2'' of snow good?. We haven't been snowed in since the late 60s, 70s & 80s. NO SNOW THIS YEAR which doesn't help my mood.
4. That's even worse, its hard enough catching a bus on time let alone try to get on one (Xmas = full buses).
5. WHAT!, what made me laugh was the bit when you said ''There are plenty of good films on TV''    This year is 2005, 04, 03, 02, 01s re-run of last years TV.
And yes, we should give a ---- because its become commercialized, we've all forgotten what Christmas is about.
Just another day in my book.
 I might convert to the Kingdom Hall :P.

1. Erm no, last 2 times I delivered with DHL (within the last month may I add) it took weeks more than advertised. Last 2 times with royal mail (again within the last month) they both were next day, and I didn't even ask for next day.
2. Give me 3 products + proof.
3. No, we were snowed in. Couldn't get to school because the bus couldn't reach our village.
4. I took a bus to a town (20 miles) and had no problems whatsoever. Took a bus back too. Buses were on time, and were'nt any slower. Bus lane got us there faster than the traffic. This was 2 days ago.
5. So old = crap? Go through the movie section of the radio times, and tell me there isn't one movie you don't like.

craig, you seem a very miserable person, i know that xmas is so commertial now .. one example i found funny is the way the debenhams advert have turned santa into some kind of "player".. he's doing funky dancing and dancing with what look like his hoe's at one point (cracked me up).. but its a time to share with family and friends.
and about the M&S thing... why u leave it til the last minute if u hate queueing for like 2hrs?

Lazy people shop online, get out ;).
I left it to the last min because whats the point in getting it gradually?, its best to do it all in one swoop.
BooM, am a very happy person, just don't see why all this hype is needed, its like the petrol shortage in the UK a few years back, crazy.
People have lost the meaning of Christmas exploiting Santa & his reindeer. its scandalous. 2 hour queues, no parking, exploitation of the consumer etc etc.
Merry Christmas
Twas the night before Christmas
When all through the house,
The whole damn family was drunk as a louse.
Grandpa and Grandma were singin' a song,
And the kid was in bed singing along.
Ma home from the cathouse,
And I, out of jail, had just settled
Down for a good piece of tail.
When out on the lawn, there arose such a clatter,
I jumped off of Ma to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I made a mad dash,
Threw open the window and fell out on my asss.
And what to my bloodshot eyes should appear
But a rusty old sleigh and a dozen reindeer.
With a little old driver holding his ****,
I knew in a moment that bastard was Nick.
Slower than snails his chargers they came.
He -----ed and he swore as he called them by name.
"Now Dancer, now Prancer, up over the walls.
Quick now, damn it, or I'll cut off your balls!"
When up on the roof he stumbled and fell,
And came down the chimney like a bat out of Hell.
He staggered and stumbled and went to the door
He tripped on his ---- and fell to the floor.
I heard him exclaim as he drove out of sight,
"Piss on you all, it's a Hell of a night."
:P

I love xmas. get to see all the family you havn't seen for a year. Get to sit down and have a great dinner with them (except turkey, too dry!) & play games.
And the thing with supermarkets being packed is silly! They are only closed for 1 day! (Xmas Day) or at most 2 (Boxing Day) why go mad and buy 2 trolly full of food when it's only going to be closed for 2 days? Who goes shopping everyday and gets a massive trolly load each time? (Not many people!)
And the thing with complaining about shopping centres, Use the internet, It's so much easier, and shopping centres are empty considering the time of year. Lol. Every one is shooping online. Some might still be going to the shopping malls and markets, but it isn't as busy as normal. :)
Enjoy the time off work (if you have time off work, lol) Enjoy xmas :d

Actually I did a mixture of online and high street.
I left it to the last min because whats the point in getting it gradually?, its best to do it all in one swoop.
Well, you see, that way you won't get all whingy that you had to delay your trip to M&S and then ----- about it on an online forum.

Bah, you miserable old bugger
Listen I've seen lots of good and bad in Christmas and I like the good, previously I've seen a great friend of mine who has guest houses in Inverness Scotland throw a huge bash for friends and family and seriously overcatering.
Reasons,
there would be loads left (and I mean whole salmon, turkey, roast beef, lamb, and all the trimmings and veg) that are already prearranged to be collected by the local charities to be used for those less fortunate for a Christmas dinner, and all done early enough so it isn't late at night 'when everyones finished' you get serverd and that's yer lot - the rest is off to others.
I know one year a couple across from me with 2 kids were in a bad way the husband had lost his job (no redundancy or payments just pulled) and I wasn't exactly raking it in, but I had enough so I did a midnight Santa and knocked the door and ran away - leaving a big goose and all the bits (including crackers) I was on my own that year (had me turkey and bits though) but I could see across the road them and they had fun - I got drunk'ish' and it was a good christmas for me.
My fav at the mo is waiting fo our 14 year old daughter waking up to find the big white puppy cuddly toy beside her (which we went through hell for convincing her we hadn't noticed) and all the presents and a huge smile (hopefully), when me in the wife have had 2-3 hours sleep and get back up again for a whole new day.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE
