Greetings FreeWebSpace users,

I need a host that will allow me to run torrentflux. Torrentflux is an opensource application that downloads torrents, and provides a web interface. Some (dare I say it, most) hosting providers seem to have a problem with torrentflux; apparently it uses too much server resources. Well, I'll be downloading a maximum of 2 torrents at a time, so i hope that should be ok for your servers.

i'll need at least 10gb storage, 50gb x-fer.

my budget is flexible; i'm prepared to pay the market rate for good hosting. if you want to make me an offer, post a reply to this thread or PM me.

The only method of payment I can use is e-gold.

Happy New Year :)

kjavia795 thanks for your reply (and PM). I've PM'd you.

If anyone else wan't to make me an offer, I'd still be interested. There is no time pressure on this; i won't be using the hosting until late January. But reply here or PM me if you have a plan that might suit me, because I'm an impulsive kind of person and if I see something I like I'll just go with it.

Happy new year :)

Impulsiveness is what causes heartaches in hosting :) I take it your site isn't a big deal for you? ;)

Thanks to all those that have PM'd me. I'll make my final choice within 7 days. If anyone else is interested in making me an offer, please either reply here or PM me. Thanks:)

@Jan: yeah, i take your point. I can see how impulsiveness could cause problems for hosts... but, not in my case. Here;s why:
-for most of the year, my only access to the internet is from computers controlled by my university
-these computers don't allow bittorrent downloads
-i have not found out a way to bypass this restriction (if anyone knows of one, pls PM me:)) )
-so i need a server to download torrents to, that i can then download through normal HTTP request to the machine that i'm using

so when i say i'm impulsive, i mean that i will take up an offer if it strikes me as being "good" (in terms of value, privacy, etc) i don't mean (as i think you are suggesting) that i'm going to order hosting today, and cancel it next week/month because i no longer want it. i'm at uni for the forseeable future, so i'm looking for a long term solution

OMFG 3 posts and already more intune.

Yet more getting themselves out there, bypassing, conning, yesh!!

Bittorent is great - I get all my *NIX distros through it.

Read the rest of the forum and find out - there is a world out there - not just yours.

So @u
1 Your still trying to bypass security. NOT GOOD!
2 Trying to bypass restrictions - that is asking forum members to break rules and laws possibly.

so your explanation is?
