I'm a newbie, and ironicly a blonde; please, no jokes, cane someone help me ? like how can i make smilies in my text? cause for example here is the hello smilie::wave: Help me please!:confused4

It sounds like you might be in the Basic Editor. If you wish to use smilies and formatting things [bold, italics] with ease, I suggest going to the Standard Editor. To do this, go to User CP link at the top left of the screen, and then select "Edit Options" from the links on the left. The very last thing on the next screen will be options for how you want the editor set up. Basic has no smilies or formatting tools, Standard has them both, and enhanced is called a WYSIWYG editor, standing for, what you see is what you get. Think of the enhanced one like MS word.
One note, you do need to use a supported browser for the standard/enhanced formatters to work. I suggest either Internet Explorer 7 or Mozilla Firefox.

The other way you could use smilies, regardless of editor, is just by knowing the code. If you click the following link, it will show you all the smilies available at this board and the code to type for them to show up;

A final thing to note is that if you use the "quick reply" feature, you won't see any editor options, so you unless you want to just use the codes, hit "add reply" to visit the reply to threat page with formatting options.

If you use quick reply you have to type the smilies, use post reply at the bottom an you get a smilie list, then you can also see what they stand for, what as in smilies. Then you can type in as required. They also vary from board to board so some here may not work elsewhere and vice-versa.
