View Full Version : Cant delete the file

Hello
I have a computer, used to be in my office and someone put some admin password to a folder in D drive. At first I didnt notice and now I am in condition that I cant reinstall the window and I want to delete those files
I have tired thousand times with admin login and still I cant...
Please advise what to do

if it's not your main drive, just format it and you're done ;)

Is this Windows? If so, what version?
You could use another file-manager tool that overwrites any kind of passwords...google different File Explorer programs, there are a ton out there that will do this. Otherwise, have you tried to delete it from the Command Prompt? Thats another idea, just type Start->Run "CMD" then use the "del c:\folder that \bad file is in
Finally, I assume you tried this, booting to safe mode, logging in as admin, and deleting it that way?

yes, CMD does help
i tried delteitng some of my files that way, it worked

I've used Can'tDeleteFile from here

for files explorer won't delete.
