i'm gettin a dedicated server for a small webhost
it uses Cpanel/WHM, but i'm confused in one part
how does one link the plans to the template ?

You need a billing/signup program.
This program will handle the registration process. Once the client's payment is received, it can automatically create the account.
As for the plans, you make them. You then link the order button to your billing script.

Billing scripts like WHMCompleteSolutions, WHMAutoPilot, etc will do the best for your needs!

There is actually a free script that I came across the other day, that worked just like iPanel, but I can't remember the name.
Although, I just wanted to let you know there is a free script out there somewhere that is just as good, if not better, than paid.

Nothing in the current market can beat WHMCS. It's as simple as that.

We use Modernbill and find it works well and meets our needs.
