View Full Version : Please, help me communicate better.

I am not spamming, and honestly need advice on something, please help me out:
Global Ecommerce = Mega Billions and growing fast.
I have:
Determination
Vision
Effort
Extreme Creativity
Unique Combinations Of Ideas
I'm convinced the future is really good, but unable (so far) to lead people to get excited about "Doing what they Love, and making money."
I refuse (for now) to be 'normal' and follow the Google crowd, learning the Adsense game.
Here is the exact problem:
If I "tone it down" (in terms of genuine enthusiasm), then no one is motivated to care
If I tell them "the Big Dream" they think I'm nuts.
Based only the limited information given, please, give me helpful advice.
Thank you very much.

Why don't you lead the way?
Build something tangible and then if it's good people will follow.
You can't expect people to follow you based only on what you say. You ain't jesus :p

Seems like you're assuming everyone is too stupid to understand your ideas. If you truly believe you have a fantastic idea, pm me. I'd like to hear it.

At least you guys have some clue. :-)
It will take me time to prepare (since my "team didn't follow yet"), and I will take up the offer to show you the goods.
If anyone cares to give an opinion, is this (below) a decent, clear style of writing? (quoting from another forum)
##############
"Please, help me communicate better."
I was trying to be clear, while honestly attempting not to spam.
##########################
1) Ecommerce is so huge anyone with, vision, motivation, and a "team", can retire very wealthy within a few years.
2) The 'team' needs to be a variety of people who want to do what they Love, and make money (ie. turning hobbies into fun income).
3) If you have any knowledge of:
a) The genious of Richard (Virgin Inc) Branson (The incentives he gave to his 'team')
b) The 20%/80% success principles (Prader)
c) The fun, happy marketing pioneer Bill Veeck (a former baseball team owner famous for new promotions)
Then it should be clear (on today's Internet) at least 20% of the population can set fun, exciting goals and be rich for life within a few years.
I honestly need to know why, or how, any of this is not really clear and very exciting?
Thank so much.

You earned some points from me for citing examples.
However, you goal is to succeed, not be a motivational speaker, right? :)
You need a good business plan, with specific short and long term goals. And most importantly, specific ways you and your team will take to achieve those.
Do you have all that?

Do you have all that? The most honest answer is 'No', and your questions are right on target.
I have a worthwhile exciting, very persistent and unique dream, which pushes me beyond my former limits. Will I always be 'just a dreamer?'
If I can learn to communicate better, then our Futuristic Prime Subsidiary VP's and CEO's will both cooperate and compete to write the business plans. Your feedback helps.

Basically, he listed about 15 ideas, which to my knowledge have all been done. Then I asked him for good ideas and he said he wouldn't say.

Believe it or not, hard work is more important to success than buzz words.

Communication takes practice if it isn't a natural gift. See what courses are available in your local area, regarding self esteem and public speaking. It will mean stepping away from the computer for a bit, but it should prove to be very beneficial.

Jan has it correct, it isn't something any of us here on the forum can teach. But honestly, as others have said, all I see is some fancy buzz words. You haven't stated anything concrete. That's the biggest this I hate in people. Just saying general ideas like "Dream Big" and "Express your ideas to the world." None of that bull helps anyone, you can't expect people to be excited because you say you have a revolutionary product. Every Tom, ----, and Jane have a revolutionary product, be unique!

You can learn to speak well if you have knowlege in the subject you are talking about. Also, knowing something about your audiance may prove helpful. Preparation is the key. The saying practice makes perfect also applies in this case.

Hi,
Current Projects (Alpha 0.1)
10 or 11 Massive Networks, Over 60 Domains
Futuristic .TV
New ways to organize information
PPA networks
Almost no Flashy Ads
Enter 2112: A 105 Year (or more) legacy to pass on to the grand kids

Wireless Keywords
Live Music On .TV
An ambitious affiliate program (really decent, but needs some more modifications).
Starting a (Edit: 'Registered Trademarks pending) before Google gets their rumored PR1-PR100 out.
But wait... our main Fun theme is, "Do What You Love, and Make Money"...(There is still too much endless work to do)
I can claim to have started (in an Alpha 0.1 stage) one of the largest, projects ever begun by a single person in modern history.
#################
How would Richard Branson answer this question?
((Edit: Sorry, I "went the extra mile", and the post got too long)))
I have futuristic and experimental ideas about balance between cooperation (Open Source Fantasy) and competition (20%/80% principle and fun contests).
We need a team which cooperates and competes in fun, futuristic, effective ways.
@@@@@@@@@@@@
Note: I did not intend to "start momentum here" at this forum, my intention was to ask advice.
It is also very honest to say, I have around 80 concepts and projects "not quite ready to show." One thought is to 'build a foundation' with a small group who wants to talk about both big and fun ideas.
Please, tell me a little about what you like to do for work and fun?
How good is your leadership? Would you consider being part of a visionary leader 'focus group'? We would bounce around some ideas, cooperate, and compete in new ways, and experiment with how we choose our top leaders.
At the start we are a Mysterious Fun, Futuristic Fantasy, Global Ecommerce Game. Do you want to be on my list for a 'Visionary Leader Focus Group?
Thanks,
MGH

I'm not sure what you're getting, but I will tell you this: think outside the box!!
For instance, look at what the Founders of ResellersPanel did: they took the concept of reseller hosting and created something totally wild and unexpected - and now are seeing great success. No one believed their idea would work, and some still don't think it does. You must be a leader! :)

So local auctions is thinking outside of the box? Live music on tv? Who thought it wouldnt work? People on forums? They're just getting everyone and their dog to sell their product and make a few cents while they sit back. Its one of the oldest tricks in the book, to find people to do the work for you. lol

Ok fair enugh, but no tycoon starts at the deep end. R Branson started by mailing off music tapes from his bedroom, bill gates started by selling hats. This is getting a bit out of hand so i'll let zig ziglar and the redhead get on with their empire..........
