I use Yahoo. They have been satisfying my needs for a couple years now.

I use a POP3 account from my host and my ISP mail account as a backup.

Hotmail is still the best. Sure, they offer only a 2 mb mailbox, but who needs more than that much storage for text messages? The only reason one would need more is if they expected to receive large file attachments.

Thx for the replies
But I would never use hotmail. They suck so much.
It's just annother spy-ware and spam service from micro$oft.
The only reason I still have an account there is,that I use their messanger(which is spyware too,but what shall I do if some friends don't want to change to ICQ).
I now use graffiti.net which I found in some thread

What would someone need more than 2 mb for? I've never even used 1 mb of my storage.

you may not but most people want to save some of their emails. also if you use a service for years at the end your box will go over limit.

my firiend has fulled a yahoo account (6mb) and now using another :D

I use http://www.icq.com/icqmail because they don't limit your inbox space :D. You need an ICQ number to use it, though.

I do this too, but if my mailbox gets to be over 1.5 mb, I delete some of the mails.

I would have to say http://www.postmark.net and http://www.parsmail.com

I got a POP3 personal address from arnet.com.ar, but that is my ISP one.

Yahoo is the best for the first two years then you start getting tons of spam. I used to use them, and I still do, but for personal mail I count on http://mail.bg

Lies... I never get spam in my Yahoo account. All the spam is directed to the Bulk Mail thing. Hotmail clutters my inbox with porn messages.

My Yahoo box fills up every week but I just delete trash and I'm set. All the mails in my inbox are important so I have to keep them (6 mb).

If you try using Yahoo now, you'll see why it's the best ;)

Man, how the heck will you know whether I get SPAM or not? The email address I have is known only by few friends, and is not given to anyone or used for anything else. Almost every day I get one "Get rich" email. Some of them go to Bulk and some go to inbox, and that is why I moved to mail.bg

I use my ISP POP, but I think that the best ones I've used were...
http://www.subdimension.com
http://www.fastmail.fm
http://www.gmx.net
http://www.postmark.net <---not very dependable though, couldn't access my account for about 2 weeks a month ago, and no new accounts.

Postmark works for me perfectly... little downtime... but you are right I don't think they accept new accounts.

Super8

I highly recommend www.myrealbox.com They are owned by Novell and won't disappear overnight. They have 10mb storage, no advertising and are fast and clean, easy to get in& out fast to view your emails. (don't have to wait for stupid msn ads to load on exit) They also have forwarding based on rules, auto-responders and POP3.
:)

The best e-mail provider? Most likely, your ISP.

But I've been using fastmail.fm and subdimension for a while now and so far it's been great.

:) Use fastmail.fm (http://www.fastmail.fm/).

Its features:
- very fast
- shows no graphics except for their logo
- has a beautiful combination of tables and colors
- 10MB mailbox space + 40MB monthly bandwith limit
- easy compose and attachment in a single form (compare that to Yahoo! urg!)
- no banners, no ads (goodbye Yahoo!)
- the free service support POP3 and IMAP. IMAP is much better than POP3. If you pay you can get SMTP support.

With all of these, finally I can give my Yahoo! account a goodbye kiss...

I once must have got about 14 emails in 1 day. From no - 1 I knew...I changed instantly to hotmail. Hushmail (http://hushmail.com) lets u send private, encrypted messages. Havent tried it, tho.
