the snow here is starting to melt, and I don't like it. The week is supposed to be decently warm too, so I might have to wait a while before it's all replenished.
Though the snow in the mountains doesn't stop. Might hit up Lake Louise this weekend.

B.V... Melt? that's no good. It's still nice 'n cold here in B.C
Tear Louise a new one for me. I've yet to visit that place.

We got a bit around here and I hate it. I hate the snow, ice, and this season all together. Only good it brings is hockey and a lack of bears.

Brrrrrrrrrrrr.
Where I used to live down south, maybe once every two years we would get some snow settling. We enjoyed the beauty for the few hours it lasted. That was enough :p

Was about time. Yesterday was the first time they used their snow removing equipment this year.
And it's snowboarding time this weekend

This winter weather is strange. I live in Virginia and last night I left the balcony door of my apartment open until 10pm, at which point it was 78 degrees in here and I had to turn on the AC.
It's January 15th... and I'm closing my doors at night to turn on the air conditioner...
WTF

I really wish we had snow here in Georgia. 43°F now. The low tonight is 29°F with a 20% chance of precipitation. How I wish it would snow.

I wish it would snow here too.
We got maybe 2 inches the other day... first measurable snowfall in a year.

south england, and all we get is rain, but you guys in canada and such are really lucky, i dont know how many of you live in europe, but the snow this year ( or lack of it ) has been appalling, the alps were the worse hit. Lucky I dont ski really.
However someone from the Uk said that global warming is going to make us hotter, luckily for us that wont be true to start with. when the sea currents slow down, ( due to the general rise in the average global temperature ) the Uk will lose some of the heating the sea currents bring, and will begin to drop to the average temperature for our particular latitude.
to put that in perspective we share latitudes with siberia and hudson bay. In other words, if you live in the Uk, i wouldnt be putting away the winter gear just yet.
of course this is just one theory, but it is pretty widely acknowledged and accepted.

We got a bit of snow here in Indiana last night. It was a little less than an inch, which was the most snow we've seen so far this winter. We usually see 2 to 3 feet per year but the past 2 years have been pretty warm. Seems like every year they blame El Nino but doesn't that come around every 4 years? lol

pretty cool here in michigan last night. We got a fair sized ice storm. Everything is covered in ice but there was not a snowflake to be found anywhere. Everything looks polished and nice out, too bad it's 13F!

The first thing that came to my mind when I read the title is "---- Snow!". I hate snow and all the crap that it causes. It would be ok if it wouldn't stick to cars and it wasn't so cold.
Brotherhewd: would you like to switch me places? currently around 29 ish here.... it's supposed to get to 33 I believe.
lucky you... stuck in 80 degree weather

Also in Indiana, also got first "real" snow. Ditto those that hate snow, if only because NOBODY knows how to DRIVE in it. The only nice thing is that it rained buckets and buckets and then froze/snowed overnight, so I got a 2-hour delay Tuesday right after having a half-day Monday for MLKjr day.

Here in the city, they say an altered version of that -- "If you don't like the weather wait four hours".
I'm used to sun then a random downpour or maybe even a fifteen degree drop or spike.
Random weather usually wouldn't catch me off guard, but seriously -- a 46 degree drop in thirty-six hours?
That was pretty damn weird.

Here in Virginia we sometimes get to like 0 degrees F and be dry and get up to 50 then it rains. It never is cold and snows.
EDIT: Argg, we had a little coating of sleet now it's just turned to rain.
