Hii all,

Is host.sk down..?..Looks like it is...my site isn't opening and my FTP also isn't working... :(

any official announcements on their site..??

When will they be up and running..??..any info..??

site worked about 5 hours ago for a minute or two but it's down again... maybe some maintenance, i hope... *want make backup of my mysql database*

i knew it. oh well im gonna look 4 a pay host under £15 a year. host.sk is good but i need a domain as well

host.sk has the worst uptime. They have to restart their servers about 3 times a day because someone is trying to hack them.

If i were you i would not go with them

xpfreak...are you very sure about that...b'cos..I have a friend of mine...who is actually an ethical hacker...and i feel..i can ask my friend to help host.sk guys online providing some security...

tell me whats ur source of the information..??

My site has never been down on them, expept for the routine stuff like what they warn you for. I have never heard them rebooting 3 times a day. I think someone is lying.


EDIT
and they did warn us about this. Official info is that they are installing a new hard drive or two (hopefully more), and reinstalling the MySQL stuff. Nothing will be lost. Should be up in no more then 12 hours from now, probably only 3 hours though.

oh good i thought it was another free host going down , i have used host.sk alot they are the best i have used but im moving to a pay 1 soon :)

I think they are partly back onlne.
If you now go to your personal site there is a message that says the following:


Host.sk servers are under technical maintenance. Because of this, user's pages are not available.

So I hope they will be fully back online soon

yeah, I agree to the fact that...host.sk is one of the best free host avaliable at the moment....

Exactly..theya re partly online at the moment...hopefully...they go online completly sooon....!

Hope the info that their servers are getting hacked...is not true......!....

they informed well before.

Dear users!

We would like to inform you that host.sk will be down on 19th March since 10:00am.
During downtime we would like to upgrade storage capacity and reinstall database server.

Jep I like them,too

They even translate thier site from slovakian into english(and that in slovakia,where ther probably other probs than tranlating sites into english) and that for free,they have good offer and everything workes

Can you use your host.sk database for a website on another server? I've tried this with DBs on different hosts, but it never works. Is Host.sk different in this respect?

they are back up as of 01:00hrs GMT, and wow, ive never seen such fast ftp uploading!!
