other than changing ISP or computers?
I really know nothing about IPs.

I was banned from some website last year and I would like to go back/register a new account and start fresh. They won't reply to my emails.
I only have one computer.

Oh yeah, I was wrongfully banned if you are wondering? ..haha

PM me if you can help

There are probably a gazillion using the same IP as you.

Alley - Even if you had another computer, you would still have the same IP, and as Jan said, thousands of other people have the same IP as you.

The only way; would be to use a proxy server, or switch ISP's.

So I have to change ISPs eh?

So if I sign up for another ISP and still have an account with AOL ...when I go online with my new ISP I will have a new IP address?

Changing ISPs doesn't guarantee that they won't find you. There is more than IPs identifying return visitors. You would be better off trying to work out a way to get back there legitimately.

Gonna have to live with it - why would you really want to go back to a forum like that anyway.

1. clear cookies
2. change your e-mail address
3. use proxy
4. re-register

You'll need to teach me someday. I still haven't sniffed out any duplicate members :p

Go to a public internet cafe? Just hope someone from there didn't get the ip banned from the same site.

One word, proxy. Lot less working than changing ISP's.
