I just got the message as well that my account was suspended, yet it is their account that is suspended.

No clue what is going on, but might as well see how long they will be down.

Before this happened I pmed Acoole asking why the server had bad load, if it would be a good idea to restart the server or stop adding new users to make it better.

Today this morning swap used was at .01% and the other things were highly improved (we don't know how) because swap was at 100% the day before.

You can try emailing Acoole or getting him over her in some way. Because he is the manager of 4uhost completely.

NO.
the account hasnt been terminated.
it has been suspended temporarily.

(i know this because:
i also know of a similar suspension faced by another host
(as it displayed the same error page),
& that was because some member had sent emails from his hosting account at random excessively,
ie he had spammed excessively.
That host had to pay some bucks (not much) to get unsuspended.).

i could only hope that this wouldnt be the case here.
As it feels very bad if you pay for something that we havent done.

No this means they've suspended his account. This probably means there's a mistake which has hit the server or the host has terminated his account for whatever reason. It doesn't have to be temporarily, they maybe giving him a couple of days to get his files and go. You never know what's happened though.

PS: If you didn't know, that page is just the default cPanel suspended page.

i am was completely shocked and sad - i really loved 4uhost it good service but why the 4uhost went down without prior letting us know

You'll probably be waiting a long time. If it shows as suspended it means the server is up, otherwise it wouldnt show that page, you'd just get another error. The bills probably havn't been paid, if it was warez or spam, the problem would have been solved and it would be back up. I'd say the owner would have come here to explain unless it was gone.

well if the account was terminated then the explorer would have shown such site doesn't exist but it's still on suspension mode. So there must have been some problem.

Ok, I dont want to argue with a load of people who have lost their websites, somehow that seems a bit wrong. I just think if it was a simple problem the owner would hve got in touch and explained not blocked his pm and vanished.

Being the owner of a current free web host, I agree. The bill hasn't been paid, and it's either (a) not paid on purpose or (b) acoole is on vacation. It's been 72 hours now, and I know, that I'm checking my website daily.

I'll stick with option (a) on this one. It's sad, but I believe he's tapping out.

Well this is something which came to my mind, i remember acoole posting a thread about the payment but i think he said its somewhere in march and he put up the donation button.well he said donations isn't necessary as he can pay it.
So i think acoole must have done some miscalculation on the payment date and now cant afford and wont it look stupid if a host came and say that in here or i go with the option (a) posted by CNLucas which is also similar.

incase is he doesn't come back, is there a anyway to get TSO DB and files back and as a matter DB and file of rest 230+ hosted sites by 4uhost as many mustn't have made back ups.

I could help him out, seeing as a lot of people are upset that he's gone. I used to get a reseller of you a while back. I have 3 vps's now, thanks for giving me the chance to try things out, much appreciated.

If you can email him and pass the message on that would be cool, as I understand you're not giving out resellers now. If that fails we could, together, try and help people out and I would take transfer of the accounts if they we're reasonable.

Ah, I just checked my inbox, and even I received the same email. No where was it written that it was from 4uhost.info and so I did not check it. I'm sure that even Acoole must have missed it and was not notified.

Anyway, is there any way to get our data backed up before transferring to the new servers?

Well looks like that was the problem, the e-mail was in my spam folder. At least I had made a backup the night before the shut down. I have already moved my site, I lost a member and a few posts, but not that much of a problem.

I wish you all luck getting everything set-up again, who knows maybe if 4uhost comes back I'll come back. Anyways, I found a nice host at www.ej.am . I decided to go the more stable route and decided on a post 4 host. The site has also been up a while so I feel safer there! :-) They have a package with no hosting also!

I just learned from our admin that 4uhost was suspended because it continued creating several new accounts even after the shutdown announcement.

Our broadband connection was delayed so our use of Liquid Web server was extended for a month or two. 4uhost account was just suspended so all data are intact and not lost, we even have a backup of it.

I am unsuspending the account in a minute now.
