Basically you want to buy a domain name and get it up asap?
Or you want to buy hosting, and change the dns to get it up asap?

When I buy a domain I set its NS to my nameservers when ordering
Then it seems to work within 5 mins
If i dont it takes 12 hours
No idea why :P

Hello
As far as I know it does't depend on webhoster.

Using your hosts nameservers and updating your nameserver entries with your domain registrar is the quickest, can vary from almost immediate to a few hours, no getting round it that way.

There isn't and can't be. Those delays are caused by the internet /dial-up provider caching the DNS information. This may last from a few minutes to a few days.

Sometimes shorter. It really depends on the type of connection and how much $ you pay out for it.... however, you can try to use dnsstuff.com to find out who is chaching and who isnt...

This is a DNS quirk, and has nothing to do with the host. It has little to do with the registrar as well, though some registrars (such as Yahoo, which I do not recommend, and GoDaddy) seem to be faster than others at getting NS changes initiated.
