Basically, my partner and I are looking for a high-end server to consolidate all our websites there. I am looking at offers under $180/mth as we already got an offer for that. It has to be DirectAdmin, no cPanel please. US or offshore servers are both fine. Thank you.

Hi jiehao85 all previous aside, is Dual Core an essential, dual aint that great, 2 CPU (or better 4 CPU) systems are, the available OS's don't quite cut it yet for dual or duo.

Would a P4 HT or Dual XEON not suit better, the disk space is quite standard and ensuring 100mbps link is still okay, RAM would be probably 1Gb at the price range but again with the earlier CPU's cheaper to increase performance and specs if there are more sites than 1Gb is comfy (or you are comfy) with then a bonus.

Your control panel choice again is yours, but transfer at 2000Gb would be there but may have a premium on whatever deal struck.

A P4 HT or Dual Xeon will be suitable as well as 10mbps unmetered. It will be better if it is 20mbps unmetered though. For me, cost cutting is a lot better than higher specs.
