Well as usual after the seven days I post in the Free Hosting Offers forum. I've been here and posting there for quite a while now but I can see that everytime I make a post the views of it go down.

This worries me a little about this community. Not the hosts but the people coming looking for free hosting. Well if my views keep on going down everytime that means that people have already seen my threads before that one and won't look at it, doesn't it? So that means most of this community just hop about free hosts like they do there underpants.

Correct me if i'm wrong.

consider yourself corrected, if you dont register on this forum, then the only place to find anything really useful is in the offers forums, and there are usually 700 + visitors online at any one time. Plus theres obviously a lot more to this forum in the way of host discussion, and everyong helping each other out.

Come to think of it, do visitors views show up? or can they see the forums?

Johnny,

I am sure you're right about them hopping from one host to another. This is simply because they are foolish in thinking that some of the offers I've seen here I know a host will not be able to last for with. It takes them all awhile to figure this out and eventually they'll end up with Kwix, and possibly a few other stable ones.

You are right, and some change they're underpants less often than some of the seekers here.
It's still a great community here though, wouldn't still be here otherwise :D
The amount of 1 post 'I WANT' visitors is quite high but they get weeded out ;)

I think you are right. But quality is always beter than quanityand I think there is still alot of quality users here. By quality I mean users that have reasonable expectations.

As said before, there are more free hosts now than those seeking free hosting. Why not go the whole hog now that you have had some practice, gained a bit of a reputation and offer paid hosting?

Jan has a valid point (as always - not that I'm just staying on her good side ;) )
It is a logical progression and (trust me) pays the bills at least some way to them.

It's a great community here, with the variety of hosts etc etc etc... but some clients just worry me.

yeah, maybe, but I find that actually the more benficial side of this community is the range of hosts and proffesionals/webmasters, whom you may ask for help or advice:) dont you already offer paid hosting ?

That was going ok but we passed it on, it required too much from us with the little time I have.
