Mod the rep

I dont know why I used deckers name....
I think it would help stop people giving rep for no reason!

I dont really care to much about rep but I find people tend to hide behind it

Since rep is ment to tell you you have done something wrong/right it would also help to know who thought you did wrong/right :beer:

I like the way the current system works, and I don't think it should be changed. I know some people like to remain anonymous. However, just as an FYI - when I leave feedback for someone, I sign it with my username!

The leaving name is a good idea, I try to do the same if I'm leaving a postivie feedback :D But I think it'd be difficult to enforce

I think they mean changing the rep mod for Vb to automatically show who left the rep.
I do not agree with the OP, I think it would be a bad idea. It would start rep wars. Say userX said something very stupid and deserving of a bad rep. UserZ decides to leave a bad rep for the comment. Most likely userX will bad rep userZ in return and continue to do so every chance they get.

I like the idea of showing names. But it is true along with that rep-war will start. But is the present condition is some better? Some stupid people give -ve rep for no reason and that person starts giving -ve rep to all person he suspects.

One idea which i can give is that, after a rep is given it will be added to the member's rep points after verification by moderators. Moderators will decide whether that person deserves to get a -ve rep or not... But this is just an idea, I know it is almost next to impossible. System will be difficult to implement and it will bring a huge burden to the moderators.

However this -ve rep problem is getting worse day by day. I also got some -ve reps out of no reason.

Why complain about the -ve reps? It's not as if a few -ve reps would kill you.

I always try to leave my name in both +ve and -ve reps that I give.

I always leave my name when leaving a reputation comment, and I also only give out positive rep. points. :-) I do, however, like the current system being used.

It's not going out of the topic. You know I'm hitting the nails right onto the head. It's plain simple, you fall into their trap. And no mods can do anything about that, which means, "moderating the reps is not a good idea." You will receive whatever the community think you deserve so "let it be."
