Here are a few url's you should check out for more info.
You can also search these forums for 'unlimited bandwidth'
and past discussion will come up.
Its advisable NOT to choose an unlimited host...just do some reading and you will realize how many horror stories there are about it.

Yes, hosts that do it are bad
Sometimes these 'Unlimited' plans only allow you to use 2-5GB!

I personally would never trust a host with unlimited bandwidth. unless MAYBE you had a file size limit, but then I would still not trust it.
I think any company that offers unlimited bandwidth should have a law suit for false advertisement

Considering that many people don't even know what data transfer is, for me the hosts that announce unlimited stuff, do well. And this because people who don't know how things work, buy their hosting having in mind their way to buy things in the supermarket. So unlimited sounds good to them. Even if unlimited doesn't exist in the supermarkets too :D . Anyway I'll never buy a hosting package with unlimited features.

Unlimited bandwidth isn't 'bad', in fact, it's GREAT, but unfortunately, it's also non-existant. As is unlimited transfer. The bad part is when a web host claims to offer it and you discover the horrible truth when you attempt to take them up on it and get your account cancelled for using too much of the unlimited bandwidth.

Well, I consider them bad, I mean they take your money while offering very little or nothing in return.
