It seems like forums are discriminated against on here, yet this is a forum and where would thousands of people be without this great forum?

Instead of outlawing forums and everything related to forums, why not make a forum for people that want to advertise / ask for reviews / buy & sell banner ads etc.. for their forums and make everyone happy?

I think it would be a bad idea to be honest, although I do see where you are coming from.
To have forums like that on FWS would merely undefine the nature of its original goal, which is to provide a platform for those looking for and providing free website hosting.

Anyways, ads and offers is a place where people can ask for things, advertise etc.

You can advertise your forum in your sig. That is fair enough. Most forums won't even let you do that.

Will be bombarded with requests like "please review my design" while the OP just want some traffic for his/her forum site.

Is there something to review about in a forum? Why not let the forum members themselves do it for you?

I've never seen this. I used to have a link to WeTalkHosts in my signature, and though I was asked about it, I was never asked to remove it. So I don't see any problem.

Personally, I think it should be locked for the simple reason: I can see where it's going to go and that's complete and utter arguments.
